Based in New Zealand, Wera TM is a new technology company founded to commercialise its unique (patent pending) range of knitted heated fabrics and associated technologies (power and temperature control electronics). Our fabrics are knitted from special conductive yarns. A combination of yarn blends and knit structures allows us to engineer our fabric to suit the application. It also has the distinct benefit of being stretchable.
To compliment our suite of heated fabrics we offer expertise in, product design and development, mechanical engineering and electronics design, and general R&D. Additionally, we can provide you with power supplies, conductive braided wire, batteries and battery chargers.

Initially the search for a means of active heating was in response to trying to stay warm while kayaking during the 2004 New Zealand winter. Things have come a long way since then and now Wera's heated fabrics and control technologies are ready to see a vast range of commercial applications.
Heating is an essential comfort. For those keen on outdoor pursuits we all know that the cold can easily get in the way of our passions. Often it stops us from doing what we really enjoy. A cold, wet, and windy day is easily enough to keep you indoors. But with specialised heated clothing this can be a thing of the past. This was our dream back in the very beginning.
Further afield, there are a host of therapeutic and recreational applications where our heated fabrics can be applied. Then there are the endless domestic and industrial applications.
